PodVisits Guide
- PodVisits are downloadable audio guides to special places - we'll tell you about the history, environment and stories around the New Forest.
- Using PodVisits couldn't be easier. Just download the MP3 files onto your computer. Load them onto your iPod,
MP3 device, mobile phone or audio player and simply listen to it while you are at each location. An audio commentary will give a whole new dimension to your visit. You can download PodVisits individually or all at once in two ZIP files. Zip1: PodVisits 1 - 13 (52.1 MB) | Zip2: PodVisits 14 - 25 (39.1 MB)
- You can also download all New Forest PodVisits using iTunes.
- Each PodVisit has an accompanying webpage where you can find out more about each location or subject, links to local information and a map showing each PodVisit location.
Use the print button at the top of each page to print off a printer-friendly version of each webpage.
- Visit the New Forest Tour page to download all the New Forest PodVi
sits and get a suggested itinery for visiting all the PodVisit locations.
- Some PodVisits aren't tied to a specific location - for example, New Forest ponies can be seen just about anywhere in the Forest, so just play that PodVisit whenever you see some!
- It's down to you how you get to each location - walk, cycle, bus or drive. Unlike a normal guided tour, you've got complete freedom and can take everything at your own pace.
- Of course you can also listen to each PodVisit on your computer - just use the audio player on each webpage.
- The New Forest is a beautiful but delicate environment so we've included Green Tips on the webpages and on the PodVisit MP3s with advice on how to lessen your impact on the Forest to make sure future generations can enjoy it in the same way.
